Statement Against Hazing
Section 1: Purpose
The purpose of this article is to unequivocally prohibit and condemn any form of hazing within our organization, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of all its members.
Section 2: Definition of Hazing
Hazing is defined as any activity or conduct that recklessly or intentionally endangers the mental, emotional, or physical health or safety of a member or prospective member of this organization. Hazing includes, but is not limited to, any action, requirement, or task that subjects an individual to humiliation, degradation, physical harm, or mental distress.
Section 3: Prohibition of Hazing
Hazing, in any form, is strictly prohibited within this organization. No member or prospective member shall engage in or be subjected to hazing as part of their affiliation or initiation process.
Section 4: Reporting and Accountability
Any member who witnesses or has knowledge of hazing activities must report it immediately to the appropriate authorities within the organization and, if necessary, to the relevant law enforcement agencies. Failure to report hazing may result in disciplinary action.
Section 5: Consequences of Hazing
Members found to have engaged in hazing activities will face immediate disciplinary action, which may include suspension, expulsion, or legal prosecution, depending on the severity of the offense and the applicable laws. The organization will cooperate fully with law enforcement in any investigation related to hazing.
Section 6: Education and Prevention
The organization shall promote awareness and education regarding the dangers of hazing and the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all members. Efforts will be made to prevent hazing through ongoing education, training, and the establishment of a positive organizational culture.
