One Band, One Sound.

This Initiative is a collaborative one between community auxiliaries and community band instrumentalists. OBOS serves as a vehicle to unite the community with concurrent auxiliary dance & marching band music.

This initiative allows those who would otherwise not be exposed to HBCU Style.music and auxiliary dance to be able to experience both within the parameters of their immediate community.

  1. Cultural Exposure: To introduce and immerse community members in HBCU-style marching band music and auxiliary dance performances.

  2. Community Engagement: To bring together diverse groups, fostering unity through shared musical and dance experiences.

  3. Talent Development: To provide a platform for local youth and aspiring musicians/dancers to showcase their skills in a supportive environment.

  4. Celebration of Tradition: To honor and promote the rich cultural heritage of HBCU bands and auxiliary groups through community-focused performances and workshops.
